IBRAD Centre Of Excellence Recognised Under The Ministry Of Tribal Affairs, Government Of India
Is Introducing The Diploma Course On Sustainable Tribal Development Management In Collaboration With The
Sidho-Kanho-Birsha University.
Despite several initiatives, programs, including the Landmark Forest Rights Act 2006, improving the human development index (HDI) of the Scheduled Tribes, the HDI of the tribal is lower than that of non-tribal. The tribes face the challenge of maintaining their livelihood security, genetic diversity, traditional knowledge due to the degradation of the forests and climate change.
Ecosystem restoration and climate-resilient Sustainable Tribal Development Management answer the problem. Given the above challenges, there is a need to develop a well-trained set of tribal development professionals who can bring about positive changes and improve the quality of life of the Tribals.
A blended course of distance learning mode with digital technology and learning immersion through residential training can provide an opportunity to the students and also for working officials.
The course will allow the students to access the best learning resources to develop a strong perspective and capability to create and manage tribal development projects independently.
Objective: Develop Competency & Skills of the Professionals who can facilitate Sustainable Tribal Development in the context of climate change towards SDG
